Second shooting is such a valuable part of wedding photography. It gives me the chance to capture a wedding day from another perspective, document the in-between moments, and contribute to the story of a couple’s day alongside another amazing photographer!


On May 16, 2026, I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding alongside Abby Bell Photography at The Southerly House in Dothan, Alabama.


The Southerly House was the setting for this beautiful wedding day, and I loved getting to document pieces of the celebration from my own perspective. One of my favorite parts of second shooting is being able to focus on the little moments happening throughout the day, from candid interactions to thoughtful details that help tell the bigger story.


Since I was working as the second photographer for Abby, this post features a handful of my favorite highlights from the day rather than a full wedding gallery. I wasn't there to photograph every part of the celebration, but I'm excited to share some of the moments I had the chance to capture.


I'm so grateful to Abby Bell Photography for having me along for this wedding! Getting to work alongside other talented photographers is always such a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and be part of documenting a couple's wedding day.
