Second shooting is such a valuable part of wedding photography. It gives me the chance to capture a wedding day from another perspective, document the in-between moments, and contribute to the story of a couple’s day alongside another amazing photographer!
On August 15, 2026, I had the opportunity to second shoot a wedding alongside Stephanie Elise Photos in Montgomery, Alabama. The day included a ceremony at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church, followed by a reception at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.
One of my favorite parts of second shooting is getting to capture the moments that might otherwise happen in the background. From candid interactions to meaningful details and the little in-between moments, I love being able to document another perspective of a couple’s wedding day.
Since I was second shooting for Stephanie Elise Photos, this post features a handful of my favorite highlights from the day rather than a full wedding gallery. I wasn't there to photograph every part of the celebration, but I'm excited to share some of the moments I had the chance to capture throughout the day.
