If you're planning an Alabama engagement session and trying to picture the kind of backdrop that does all the work for you, Kymulga Gristmill is it.


That's exactly where Macie and Ben spent their evening, and it did not disappoint, all wildwood green, warm late light, and that old covered bridge that feels like it was built for exactly this.


I've known Macie since elementary and middle school, so getting to be behind the camera for this season of her life meant something a little different for me. And Ben fits right in. The two of them together are easy, playful, completely wrapped up in each other in the best way, the kind of connection that makes a session feel less like directing and more like just following them around while they fall for each other all over again.


Macie and Ben are getting married in October at Crest Farm Barn, and I could not be more excited to be there for it.
