Emma and Josh came into their engagement session with the kind of energy that makes photographing couples so much fun — full of love, laughter, and completely themselves.



From the very beginning, it was easy to see how comfortable they are together, and honestly, those are always my favorite sessions.

We spent the afternoon at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens surrounded by all the best parts of fall.


The changing leaves, warm tones, and soft light made the gardens feel extra beautiful, but somehow, Emma and Josh still managed to be the best part of every photo. There was so much laughter throughout their session, and the kind of genuine little moments that happen when two people are simply having fun together.


Their connection is effortless, joyful, and so easy to photograph. You could feel how much they love each other in every little moment — from the big laughs to the quiet ones in between. My favorite kind of sessions are the ones where couples forget the camera is even there, and Emma and Josh made that pretty easy to do.
